estate sale finds of the day

Large blue mason jar for Vintage Vessels. $1.00
Taper holders heading to Vintage Vessels as mini vases. The color caught my eye right away.
I found these in separate rooms with different prices. $4.00 for the pair.
I already have this little dish, but could not resist picking up another.
Still love the illustrations and this one came with a cup.
Made in Denmark. $1.50 for both.
Jar of hooks and fasters. I se these glass jars at a lot of estate sales,
always full of odd little treasures. Not only do I love the containers they come in,
but I also love the curatorial quality they have when stored like this. $1.00.
These are going to repurposed into jewelry hooks. Nailed onto a piece of wood,
they will be perfect for hanging delicate necklaces.
Metal dustpans are a new collecting passion for me. They feel great in your hand, are always the most
interesting colors (I have a turquoise one too) and make cleaning just a little bit more tolerable. $1.50.

My puppy Apollo, who likes to turn his head and ignore me when I yell at him to GET OFF THE COUCH.

jump for joy

For my friend Colleen's birthday last year, we went to brunch at Benton's on a beautiful Sunday morning. It is one of the more expensive brunches in town, but their expansive and delicious spread makes it all worthwhile. Brunch is served Sundays from 10 am - 2 pm and is about $30-ish per person. For a couple bucks more, you can make it a champagne brunch and drink all the cheap sparkly you can handle.

Being early November, it was a suprisingly beautiful day so afterwards we popped on over to Liberty Memorial for an impromptu photo shoot. These pictures make me laugh so much because we were loosened up by many mimosas and giggling like crazy the whole time.

my favorite children

My favorite little ones. Their parents have raised them to be independent, smart, funny kids who are always so much fun to be around. Kid #1, the oldest is now carrying a purse and wearing lip gloss. It was only a few years ago she was begging me to tell her stories and play dollies. Kid #2 face planted in the mud after he flipped over on my hammock when he was two. He cried for less than a minute and was back on his feet in no time. He gives me great big hugs and still cries into his stuffed animals. And Kid #3, she is the funniest and the sweetest. She cut her own hair a while ago and it's stayed short ever since, she is such an adorable little pixie.
